The Village of Plover 9/11 Memorial was dedicated on the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania. The 9/11 memorial features a piece of I-beam acquired from the World Trade Center and a plaque dedicated to the hundreds of first responders who responded that fateful day and gave the ultimate sacrifice. In addition, the 9/11 memorial features three benches which represent the three locations of the attacks. 343 red bricks and 60 black bricks have been laid to memorialize the 343 firefighters and 60 law enforcement officers who died at the World Trade Center. The 9/11 memorial is located in front of the Village of Plover Municipal Building, 2400 Post Road, Plover, WI. We invite everyone to stop and visit this special piece of history.
