SPECIAL PLAN COMMISSION

Others Present: Richard Holden, Dan Mahoney

1. Mr. Schlutter called the Plan Commission to order on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 6:00 p.m.

2. 6:00 p.m. - Go to Public Hearing - Amendments to the Village of Plover Zoning Code as part of the Recodification of the Municipal Code of Ordinances for the Village of Plover. The Secretary read the Public Hearing Notice. The Village is in the process of adopting a new Village Code and as such revisions were made to Chapter 550, Zoning, as part of this project. The Zoning Chapter is subject to the review, notice and hearing requirements for zoning amendments under §62.23(7)(d), Wis. Stats. Plan Commission members were provided with a Schedule of Code Revisions and the proposed Chapter 550 Zoning for review. Subject to comments from the Public Hearing the Plan Commission should make a recommendation to the Village Board to approve the Zoning Code as part of Ordinance #8-10-08 - An Ordinance to Revise and Consolidate, Amend, Supplement and codify the General ordinances of the Village of Plover.

Mr. Haga moved to close the public hearing. Mr. Bishop seconded and the motion carried.

3. Reconvene for possible discussion and possible consideration of amendments to the Village of Plover Zoning Code as part of the Recodification of the Municipal Code of Ordinances for the Village of Plover. Mr. Holden recommends that the Plan Commission recommend to the Village Board adoption of the Zoning Code as part of the Village of Plover.

Ms. Sandstrom asked why there is no mention of the TIF District Organization. Mr. Holden stated that it is not part of the zoning code as it is not a zoning district. Mr. Damrau asked if there would be a change in the definition of family. Mr. Holden stated that there will not be any changes in the working at this time.

Mr. Radomski asked who the backup is for Mr. Holden. Mr. Mahoney responded that it is he. Mr. Holden also noted that both building inspectors serve as agents to him.

***RECOMMENDATION TO THE VILLAGE BOARD*** Mr. Haga moved that the Plan Commission recommend to the Village Board adoption of the Zoning Code as part of the Village of Plover. Mr. Bishop seconded and the motion carried.

4. Such other business as is authorized by law.

5. Mr. Haga moved, Ms. Sandstrom seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 6:05 p.m. Motion carried.
