NEW FIRE RESCUE TRUCK

Plover has a new rescue truck. The truck will be the response vehicle for traffic accidents and rescue calls in the Plover Fire District, which includes the village, the village of Almond, and the towns of Plover, Stockton, Grant, Pine Grove, Almond, and Buena Vista.

The truck is a 2000 model Ford 550 Crew cab with four-whell drive and an aluminum equipment box designed and manufactured by Oshkosh Fire and Police Equipment as a custom-build for the Village of Plover Fire Department.

The vehicle includes a 250-gallon water tank and pump for water and foam applications.

Equipment carried on the truck include the "Jaws of Life", rescue tools.

Three or four firefighters or rescue personnel will respond with the unit.
