Plover Fire Department 
The Village of Plover Fire & EMS Department provides primary fire suppression, rescue vehicle extrication, wildland fire suppression and public education service to the Village of Plover, Town of Plover and a portion of the Town of Buena Vista. Mutual-aid with all Portage County fire departments is achieved through the Portage County, Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS), Division 110.
The department additionally is a founding member of the Portage County Metropolitan Fire District (i.e. Metro), an automatic-aid agreement providing automatic incident response across three municipalities including the Village of Plover, Village of Whiting and City of Stevens Point.
The department additionally provides a highly trained 1st Responder emergency medical service throughout our primary response area. Members are required to be licensed by the State of Wisconsin to the state certified, Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) level. Several members are licensed to the state certified, Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I) and Paramedic (EMT-P) levels.
