POLICE & FIRE COMMISSION

The Police & Fire Commission meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. in the Plover Municipal Center Board Room. Agendas are published in the official Village newspaper and website.

MEMBERSHIP (Am. Ord. #22-95). The Police and Fire Commission shall be composed of 5 residents of the Village. Qualifications and responsibilities of members of the Commission shall be as established by 62.13, Wis. Stats.

FUNCTION: To organize and supervise the fire and police departments and to prescribe rules and regulations for their control and management. To contract for and purchase all necessary apparatus and supplies for the use of the departments under their supervision, exclusive of the erection and control of the police and fire station buildings. To audit all bills, claims and expenses of the fire and police departments before the same are paid by the city treasurer.
