B-4 -Highway Business District

HIGHWAY BUSINESS
DISTRICT |
PURPOSE. The B-4 Highway Business
District is intended to provide for the orderly and attractive grouping
at appropriate locations along federal, state and county highway
routes of those business and customer services which are logically
related to and dependant upon highway traffic or which are specifically
designed to serve the need of such traffic.
Permitted Uses:
(a) Any use permitted in the B-2 General Business District except
no building area limitations.
(b) Bowling Alleys.
(c) Building supply stores; excluding lumber yards.
(d) Equipment rental with only inside storage facilities.
(e) Garden centers including greenhouses and nurseries.
(f) Hotels and motels.
(g) Theaters (family oriented).
Conditional Uses:
(a) Any conditional use permitted in the B-2 General Business District,
except residential.
(b) Automotive, truck, motorcycle, recreational vehicles, and marine
sales and service.
(c) Car washes.
(d) Lumber yards.
(e) Trailer sales and rental.
(f) Truck stops, not for the purpose of transferring or off-loading
of goods or long-term storing or parking of vehicles.
(g) Tractor and other farm implement sales and service.
Minimum Standards:
(a) Parking and Loading Requirements. See 17.34 and 17.35 of this
chapter.
(b) Sign Requirements. Signs as permitted by Chapter 23 of this
Code.
(c) Site Plan Approval Required. See Section 17.311 of this chapter.
(d) Performance Requirements. See Section 17.361 of this chapter.
