SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
DISTRICT |
PURPOSE. The R-2 Single-family
Residential District is established to provide the population density
and uses primarily for single family living which is expected to
accommodate the numerous residential developments already at the
density of this District, and the District would accommodate other
housing not on Village sewer. This District is to be located consistent
with the Village Comprehensive Plan.
PERMITTED USES.
(a) Any permitted use in the R-1 and C Districts, except permitted
uses enumerated in sec. 17.15 (2)(a) and (b) of this chapter.
(b) Single-family detached dwellings.
(c) Churches, convents, chapels, temples, synagogues, and parish
or rectory houses.
(d) Public and parochial elementary schools.
(e) Private noncommercial recreational areas and facilities.
(f) Parks, playgrounds and athletic fields.
(g) Railroad rights-of-way exclusive of switching, storage, freight
yards or sidings.
(h) Day care and nursery schools.
(i) Cemeteries.
(j) Customary accessory uses.
(k) (Am. Ord. #15-97) Signs as permitted in ch. 23 of this Code.
CONDITIONAL USES.
(a) Gardening and Community garden plots.
(b) Public or institutional community centers, senior centers or
youth centers.
(c) Junior and senior high schools.
(d) Communication and utility structures or substations of any public
utility, including transmission or pipelines.
(e) Fire stations.
(f) (Am. Ord. #8-98) Home Occupation, Major and professional home
offices.
(g) Wind generator or windmill towers.
(h) Parking of commercial vehicles with a manufacturer's weight
rating of 8,000 pounds or more.
