Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting
Monday, May 11, 2009

Members Present: Meg Erler, Sue Bartsch, Ted Osenga, Gary Wolf (arrived during public hearing)
Members Absent: Ken Piotrowicz, Josh Jandrain

Others Present: Dan Mahoney

1. Ms. Erler called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.

2. The Clerk read the public hearing notice for the Michael Amick request for a variance to allow a 6' high solid fence in a portion of the street yard setbacks of River Dr. and Coolidge Ave. on Lot 1, Pineview Estates Subdivision, also known as 4950 Fieldstone Dr., Village of Plover. Ms. Erler declared the public hearing open at 4:31p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Amick were present to answer any questions.

Mr. Osenga moved to close the public hearing at 4:33 p.m. Ms. Bartsch seconded and the motion carried.

3. Mr. Mahoney referred to and read Mr. Holden's report, copy attached. He referred to the map and stated that the Plan Commission recommended approval of the variance request.

Mr. Osenga questioned the description of a vision triangle? Mr. Mahoney explained that, at street intersections, there is a certain distance from the right-of-way that must remain clear of obstructions for traffic purposes.

Ms. Bartsch questioned the fence adjacent to the neighbor. Mr. Mahoney stated that a 6' high solid fence between properties is allowed.

*Ms. Bartsh moved to approve the request by Michael Amick for a variance to allow a 6' high solid fence in the street yard setbacks of River Dr. and Coolidge Ave. on Lot 1, Pineview Estates Subdivision, also known as 4950 Fieldstone Dr., Village of Plover. Mr. Osenga seconded and the motion carried.

4. Ms. Bartsch moved to adjourn at 4:40 p.m. Mr. Osenga seconded and the motion carried.
